TexSun Solar helps Texas homeowners understand their roof, their electric bill and their options before they make a decision. We write short guides, link to the public sources behind them, and offer a 15 minute call for questions.
What we do
We are a Texas homeowner education service. The guides, the home systems library and the address-based property report are open to everyone, and you can use all of them without giving us your name, phone or email. When you want to talk something through, you can request a 15 minute call about solar, your roof, or both.
The service is for Texas homes. Whether a local professional is available for a particular address is a separate question, answered after you ask, not something this site promises.
How the education works
- Sourced. Texas prices, utility facts and updates name their source and the date it was checked. The full list is on our Texas sources page.
- Labeled. The property report shows what public records return and marks what only an in-person visit can tell you. When nothing is found, it says so.
- Modest. We do not publish savings figures or diagnose a house from a screen.
What we believe
- The roof comes before panels.
- Your own bill and plan documents beat any projection.
- An honest "we don't know" is better than a confident guess.
- No one should be contacted without asking.
Before any paid work
The first call is educational. Before any paid work on your home, confirm which business will actually perform it, check that business's licenses or registrations with the state, and get the full scope, price and terms in writing. Our guide to Texas solar sales contracts links the state resources for doing that.
Our role here is homeowner education. An education call does not establish an installer relationship or authorize work on your home. Any introduction to another company requires your permission. Read our service disclosures.
